Compare · Checkfront

A general booking system, applied to venues

Checkfront handles a wide range of businesses, from equipment hire to accommodation to activities. Breadth is the point of it, and it is also the trade-off.

01 · What it gets right

Flexible, and it publishes pricing

Configurable enough to fit a lot of different businesses, with published plans and a solid reputation. If your setup is unusual, flexibility is worth something.

02 · Where it stops

General purpose means general purpose

Nothing in it knows what a reset is, or that a coach can run one lane at a time, or what a session outcome is. You can configure around some of that. You cannot configure it into understanding your business.

Plans are tiered on features and volume, so growing moves you up rather than being included.
