About

Built by someone who spent a decade on the other side of it

Ten years running escape rooms. Events and weddings before that. Venue Harmony is the list of things that needed fixing across all of it, written down and then built.

Every item on the list came from a bad night

Not a wishlist of features that would be nice. A list of specific things that went wrong on specific Saturdays, and what would have had to be true for them not to.

Two things happened at once

Two groups arriving for one room. A voucher that could not be half used. A customer who was a regular at one venue and a stranger at the next. A Sunday afternoon joining spreadsheets to answer a question the software should have answered.

Each one got worked around at the time. The list is what happens when you write the workarounds down for ten years.

The software in this category has not meaningfully changed in a decade. The flat fee options are old and the modern ones want six to eight percent of a business you already built. Nobody sat in the middle, so most operators tolerated something they stopped liking years ago.

Then the surcharge ban. From October, everyone paying a percentage starts absorbing it themselves, all at once. A lot of people are about to look properly at a number they have been ignoring.

Small, and that is why the price works

It is not a company with thirty staff to pay for, so it does not have to charge like one.

It runs in production at a multi-venue operator before it goes anywhere else, which means when something breaks it breaks their Saturday night first.

The list is short and we will keep to it

No percentage past the cap
We will not take a percentage of your turnover past the cap.
No sitting in your payments
We will not sit in the middle of your payments.
No owning your website
We will not build your website and then own it.
No difficult exit
We will not make leaving difficult.

If any of that ever changes, it will be because the company changed hands, and you should read it as the warning it is.
